When purchasing stretched canvas print its important to keep your new wall art as fresh as the day you brought it there are a few bits of advice that we like to pass on:
- In no way shape or form should a wet or damp cloth be used to clean or wipe your canvas art. We would recommend instead using something like a dry sponge or or feather duster to keep your canvas print clean from dust
- Over time high intensity light can cause colours in your stretched canvas art to fade. We would therefore suggest keeping your canvas out of direct sunlight as well as clear of reflected light from sources such as glass or mirrors.
- Heat can be a canvases worst enemy, so we always recommend keeping your canvas art prints away from direct heat, sources such as fireplaces and radiators. A moist free environment is also a safe bet!
- Small dents or “bubbles” can become apparent over time with wear. If you find these appearing on your stretched canvas art not to worry, all can be resolved with the use of a simple kettle and a bit of steam! Simply brig a kettle to boil and cover the dented area with steam on the back of the canvas print. DO NOT under any circumstances apply steam to the front of your canvas art. The steam should hopefully suck out the dent while you watch!
